philadelphia sports fans

professional and collegiate athletes get most of the spotlight but it’s not only the players on TV that make Philadelphia a fierce sports town — it’s athletes like you, too.

In many ways, Philadelphia is like no other sports town. It’s one of only a handful of cities with a professional franchise in five major league sports. Sports complexes, arenas and stadiums light up Center City and South Philadelphia year-round, and surrounding sports bars and restaurants fuel impassioned fans so they can keep supporting the teams they love.

However, Philadelphia sports fans aren’t limited to just professional teams. With 87 NCAA teams calling Pennsylvania home, fans of collegiate sports have ample opportunities to catch future professional players at their alma mater. Although professional and collegiate athletes get most of the spotlight, it’s not just the players we see on TV that make Philadelphia a fierce sports town — it’s athletes like you, too.

At eseo, we believe that whether you’re active in a sports league, training for greatness or just playing the occasional pickup game, you benefit your community. That’s why it’s our mission to provide you with resources to engage with other Philadelphia sports fans in your community and keep the fire alive for the sports that you love. Keep reading to find out where you can play team sports in Philadelphia.
